Eduarda Bérgamo has been practicing in the tax field, with experience in judicial and administrative litigation, tax advisory services, and customs taxation, as well as experience in civil litigation involving ports.

His professional experience includes drafting pleadings, legal reports, and research on case law and legal doctrine, as well as providing strategic guidance on cases involving direct and indirect taxes. He also has experience in matters related to foreign trade, special customs regimes, and taxation of import transactions.

Eduarda Bérgamo is a law student at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is dedicated to furthering her academic and professional knowledge in tax law, with a special interest in customs taxation, foreign trade, and oil law. She participates in study groups and specialized events focused on current issues in the field of taxation.

Experience

Practice in tax litigation and advisory services, as well as in civil litigation related to ports, including:

  • Assistance in drafting legal documents for judicial and administrative proceedings, including pleadings, counter-pleadings, motions for clarification, objections, and appellate briefs.

  • Research into case law and legal doctrine to develop legal arguments, define strategies, and monitor relevant issues in the higher courts.

  • Preparation of legal reports, technical communications, and supporting materials in Portuguese and English for domestic and international clients.

  • Practice in matters related to customs taxation, foreign trade, special customs regimes, and taxes levied on import transactions.

  • Legal support in civil litigation involving port-related matters such as demanifestation, storage, demurrage, contractual obligations, and liability arising from port operations.

  • Tracking legal proceedings, monitoring trial schedules, managing deadlines, entering data into internal systems, and organizing tracking spreadsheets.
